Dear Ms. Rolland,

Thank you so much for your dedication in assisting us in locating and prosecuting the individual(s) responsible for dumping a plastic bag of five new born puppies over a hillside this past Memorial Day Weekend.

I am enclosing the information you requested indicating that our state laws prohibit such actions by our citizens. Please also note the letter from the Sheriff of Marion County's office. During a personal conversation with Sheriff Watkins he has indicated his disgust with this situation and his commitment to work with us in investigating and prosecuting this case.

We are desperately in need of the potential $250.00 from HSUS in our endeavor to bring these individuals to justice. We would like to take this opportunity to extend our gratitude for your consideration of this request, on behalf of the only two surviving puppies, Christopher and Barney.

If you have any questions or concerns and would like to discuss this request, please contact me at home during the evenings at (304) 825-6105 after 7PM; otherwise please leave a complete message on my answering machine. I will be sure to return your call as soon as possible! Good luck in your work, we are anxiously awaiting to hear from you again!

Sincerely,

Kammi Kai Hefner
